Export Oriented Enterprises (EOE) consist of all enterprises, previously operating with an EPZ certificate and those manufacturing goods for exports and holding a registration certificate issued by the Board of Investment.' The two are not compared across the change.

For March 1975–1990 the survey's industry table excludes foreign workers and Rodrigues (Table 2.1(a)); the workbook does not say whether Table 2.5(a)'s figures for those years, or for 1972–1974, do too.
- Coverage 1991From March 1991 to 2005 the EPZ sector (Table 2.5(a)) exceeds the manufacturing 'EPZ' part of Tables 2.1(b)-(c) by 541 to 1,164 persons, and equals it in March 2006. The workbook's earnings tables footnote their manufacturing EPZ row 'excluding non-manufacturing EPZ establishments' (Tables 2.8(a)-(b), note 2); Tables 2.1 carry no such note. A difference of scope, recorded and not resolved.
- Definition change 2007The EPZ sector to March 2006, the EOE sector from March 2007: 'As from October 2006, the Export Oriented Enterprises (EOE) certificate replaced the EPZ certificate. - Discrepancy 2025March 2025: Table 2.5(b) prints 16,739 men and 12,534 women in the EOE sector but a total of 29,263, which is 10 fewer than the two add up to. Table 2.1(d)'s 'Export oriented enterprises' row prints the same men and total but 12,524 women, which does add up. The sector's employment is taken from Table 2.5(b), whose figures are served as published.
