• Discrepancy note, from 1990

  Two measures of foreign workers. Table 1.1's foreign workers in the labour force (an annual estimate) and the Survey of Employment and Earnings' foreign workers in large establishments (Tables 2.6, a March count) are equal, to Table 1.1's decimal, in 1990–2002 and 2022–2024, and 0.1 to 1.5 thousand apart in 2003–2021 and 2025. They are different measures and are never compared.

  Table 2.6(a) prints every cell for March 1990-1994 as a multiple of 25 (totals 1,000; 2,200; 4,100; 6,900; 8,275), apparently rounded; the workbook does not say. The later years are not rounded.

  Republic of Mauritius, by inference: Tables 2.6(a) and 2.6(b) state no geographic scope. The survey's industry tables include Rodrigues from March 1991 (Tables 2.1(b)-(c)); the workbook does not say whether Table 2.6(a)'s first year, March 1990, does.

  From March 2010 Table 2.6(b) gives foreign workers by the NSIC Rev. 2 industrial groups, where Table 2.6(a) (March 1990-2009) gives three groups of its own: manufacturing, construction and other. The two breakdowns are separate vocabularies and are never compared; the total is printed across the change.
