- Discrepancy 1983Two measures of employment in large establishments. Table 1.1's employment 'in large establishments' is part of a compiled annual estimate; the Survey of Employment and Earnings' Tables 2.1 count employment in March. Rounded to Table 1.1's decimal they agree only in 1995, 2024 and 2025 (2023: 0.1 thousand apart). Table 1.1 is higher by up to 12.2 thousand in 1983–1990, when Table 2.1(a) excludes foreign workers and Rodrigues, and lower by as much as 5.9 thousand in 2017. They are different measures and are never compared.
- Coverage 1991Table 2.1(b) prints manufacturing's 'Sugar' part for March 1991-1993 in round hundreds (1991: 7,300 male, 100 female), where its other cells are not rounded; the workbook does not say why.
- Coverage 1991Republic of Mauritius. Tables 2.1(b) and 2.1(c) are headed '(Including Foreign Workers & Rodrigues)'; Table 2.1(d) (March 2007–2025) states no scope and continues them. The workbook names neither Agalega nor St Brandon. March 1975–1990, which exclude foreign workers and Rodrigues, are a separate indicator on the Island of Mauritius and are never one line with this one.
- Discrepancy 1998March 1998: in Table 2.1(b) the parts of 'Community, social and personal services' add up to 77,678, where the group prints 79,678, and to 18,636 for females against 20,636; males agree. Its 'Government: (a) Central' and '(b) Local' parts equal Table 2.2's; its 'Other' part prints 5,013 for females, against 6,842 in 1997 and 7,355 in 1999. The workbook does not say which figure is wrong. Every figure is served as published.
- Coverage 2000The industrial groups change classification: March 1975–1999 follow ISIC Rev. 2 of 1968 (Tables 2.1(a)-(b)); March 2000–2006 the National Standard Industrial Classification of Economic Activities (NSIC), 'an adaptation of the International Standard Industrial Classification of all Economic Activities (ISIC), Revision 3 of 1990' (Table 2.1(c)). Each classification has its own vocabulary and no industrial group is compared across the change. The total is printed as one series across it.
- Discrepancy 2000March 2000 and 2001: Table 2.3(a)'s public and private sectors add up to 296,787 and 301,085, where Table 2.1(c) prints totals of 297,025 and 301,217. The total is taken from Table 2.1, so Table 2.3's Total column is not loaded; its sectors are served as published.
- Coverage 2007The public sector's parts change in March 2007. Table 2.3(a) (March 2000-2006) counts the Rodrigues Regional Assembly within 'Government Ministries/Departments' (its note 1); Table 2.3(b) (from March 2007) prints 'Regional Government' in a column of its own. The two ministries-and-departments parts have different codes and are never one line. The public and private sector totals are printed across the change.
- Coverage 2007The industrial groups change classification: from March 2007 the NSIC Rev. 2, 'an adaptation of the International Industrial Classification of Economic Activities (ISIC), Rev 4 of 2007' (Table 2.1(d)). 'As from March 2012, SEE is published according to the National Standard Industrial Classification (NSIC), Revision 2 ... Previous classification used was the National Standard Industrial Classification (NSIC), based on ISIC, Rev. 3 of 1990.' Each classification has its own vocabulary and no industrial group is compared across the change. The total is printed as one series across it.
